Children from Straylands Day Nursery, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year
A NURSERY which has provided care for hundreds of children is celebrating a special birthday next month.
Straylands Day Nursery, in Malton Road, York, first opened its doors in 1992.
Jayne Benn has owned the nursery since 1992 and joined in partnership with Tracy Gowlett in 2003. The nursery is now managed by Leah Garrett.
At least 1,500 children have attended the nursery over the past 25 years.
To mark its 25th birthday, the nursery is inviting all the families that have attended its sessions to join in a birthday party on August 5, from 1pm to 4pm.
