HUNDREDS of calls to North Yorkshire Police's non-emergency telephone number were struck by faults overnight on Wednesday.
A force spokesman said "technical problems" with 101 meant operators and callers were unable to hear each other "sporadically" on Wednesday night until about 2.40pm on Thursday.
The spokesman said not all calls were affected, those who were affected were called back, and apologised for the problem.
