A RECORD crowd descended on a North Yorkshire stately home for the largest classic car show in the North of England.
More than 5,000 visitors flocked to Newby Hall, near Ripon, for the annual Historical Vehicle Rally, which featured in excess of 1,400 classic cars.
Among the classic cars on display were Bentleys, Jaguars, Austins and Rolls Royces.
The rally is organised by the Bishop Auckland Branch of the North of England Classic and Pre War Automobiles Club. Newby Hall commercial director, Stuart Gill, said: “Attendances increase every year, and this year is no exception.”
