TOURISTS who relieved themselves in the city centre in broad daylight have been find a total of £410 by magistrates.
Lee Evans, 28, from Bruce Glazier Terrace, Shotton Colliery, County Durham, was found by police urinating in full view of passengers waiting at bus stops at Piccadilly on Friday, May 12 at 7.55pm
Daniel Lombard, 31, from Ramsay Street, Scarborough, was found by police urinating in an alley off Coney Street on Saturday, May 20 at 5.20pm.
Both pleaded guilty, with Lombard adding he was ashamed of his actions.
Passersby alerted police to Evans, but at York Magistrates Court he offered no explanation and was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 costs and £30 surcharge.
Lombard was fined £30 and the £130 costs and surcharge.
North Yorkshire Police said the acts are “unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”
