UPDATED: Man airlifted to hospital after crash between car and lorry
A MAN was seriously hurt in a crash between a car and a lorry in North Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called at about 6.40pm yesterday to reports of a collision on the A19 between Knayton and South Kilvington.
A North Yorkshire fire service spokesman said crews rescued one man trapped in the car by removing a door.
He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, a spokeswoman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service added.
