RESIDENTS are being urged to attend York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s public board meetings.
The role of the board is to ensure the trust delivers high quality healthcare and improves the health of the local population.
The regular public board meetings provide local people with an opportunity to find out more about the NHS trust and the wide range of health services it provides across the patch.
Attending a meeting as an observer will give members of the public an opportunity to understand how matters are discussed and how important decisions are made.
The next meeting of the board of directors will be on Wednesday, July 26 at York Hospital boardroom, starting at 10.45am.
If you would like to attend one of the trust’s board meetings, RSVP in advance by e-mailing foundation trust secretary, Lynda Provins, on lynda.provins@york.nhs.uk.
The dates and venues for future board meetings, along with copies of the board papers can be found at www.yorkhospitals.nhs.uk/about_us/board_of_directors.
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for the running of York Hospital, Bridlington Hospital and Scarborough Hospital, as well as operating community hospitals, including Malton and St Monica’s in Easingwold.
