A MAN woke up with a broken nose and his wallet missing after a robbery by a river in York.
The man, aged in his 60s, reported being robbed by the River Ouse, between Lendal Bridge and Water Lane.
It happened in the early hours of July 4.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "He has no recollection of the incident but woke up with a broken nose and his wallet, mobile phone and some money was missing.
"The victim can remember stopping to rest on a bench along the riverside and speaking to a man, but cannot recall any further details."
Police want to hear from anyone who saw the victim, who had long, white hair tied back in a pony tail, a white checked shirt, jeans and blue shoes, in the area at the time, or who has any information about the robbery.
