POLICE have named a man they want to speak to in connection with a street stabbing in Tang Hall at the weekend.
They are looking for Dean Barrett, 28, after the incident in Etty Avenue shortly after midnight on Saturday that left a man with stab wounds.
They have also questioned two other men and released them on bail.
Late yesterday afternoon police released Barrett’s name and his picture. They believe he is still in York.
He is white, 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
A spokesman said: “As part of their enquiries officers would like to speak Barrett as he may have important information that could assist the investigation.”
