AWARD-WINNING chef James Martin has met Yorkshire food producers featuring on Virgin Trains’ new seasonal East Coast menu.

Representatives from cheese maker, Shepherd’s Purse, and traditional jam makers, Fruity Kitchen, were amongst those welcoming James to the city, said a spokesman.

“It was an opportunity, too, to celebrate the launch of James’ refreshed seasonal menus on East Coast trains, which champion local cuisine and are available now to First and Standard Class customers,” he said.
