WHEN schoolgirl Kayleigh Flanagan asked to photograph some cutlery she admired and posted her creative images on Instagram, she didn't expect interest from the Danish designers.

But Copenhagen-based Ole Palsby design loved her work and she is now creating images for use on her social media platforms.

Kayleigh, 17, of Holgate, a student at All Saints' RC School, who took AS Photography said: "Taking photos started as a hobby, but I love it so much I'd like to go professional. I am thrilled about the contact from Denmark and will be working on the images over the summer. The cutlery design is amazing."

Mikkel Palsby of Ole Palsby Design in Copenhagen said: "Kayleigh’s instagram profile shows a lot of exciting and experimental photos and we therefore found it interesting to see how she would work with our cutlery. The way she works with light and shadows is to us a creative and original way to make photos of cutlery. Our idea was to support what we found is a young and talented photographer.

"We sent Kayleigh a sample of our cutlery, and she posted some very interesting pictures on her Instagram. We follow Kayleigh on Instagram and are looking forward to see how she develops."
