THUNDERSTORMS look to be heading for York and North Yorkshire this afternoon, with a possibility of intense downpours.
The Met Office says some places will avoid getting a storm but those that are affected will be at risk of sudden, localised flooding.
The storms are most likely to break out in the mid-late afternoon and will clear away during the evening.
Tenperatures are set to rise to 26C by early afternoon, with the air feeling increasingly humid.
