A SUPERHERO and princess invasion at a York shopping centre has helped raise £1000 for good causes.
A family fun day was held at Monks Cross at the weekend - with superhero and princess characters on hand as well as facepainting, cupcake stalls, a children’s fancy dress competition, and a visit by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
Centre manager Katherine Sharp said: “It was amazing to see so many local people come along to join in the fun on Saturday and especially to see so many children in their fancy dress!
“We’re over the moon to have raised £1000 for Great Ormond Street and SNAPPY.
“Thanks to all the superheroes who donated money to help us support these fantastic causes.”
