RESIDENTS are being urged to make sure their windows and doors are locked at night after two burglaries and an attempted break-in at houses in York.
Properties were targeted in the Clifton and Rawcliffe areas within hours of each other.
York North Safer Neighbourhood Team said a house in Lawnswood Drive was entered through an insecure door, and a phone and van keys were stolen. It happened at about 12.45am today.
Yesterday, a house in Thornton Moor Close was also entered through an insecure door and a purse with bank cards was taken, the team added.
It also said there was an attempted break-in at a house in Burdyke Avenue yesterday.
