THE Yorkshire Museum in York is preparing to host Viking-related events next month. The attraction, in Museum Gardens, will be the venue for ‘Photographing the Vikings with John Illingworth’ on July 2, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Participants can spend time on gallery before a chance to photograph authentic Viking artefacts that are currently not on display. On July 6, starting at 6.30pm, in the museum’s Tempest Anderson Hall, Professor Julian Richards will give a talk about the Viking Army and its legacy.
