North Yorkshire Police said a man riding a Deliveroo motorcycle was targeted by a car driver on Wetherby Road in Harrogate.

It happened at around 6.50pm last Saturday when the male driver of a silver Honda Civic "became aggressive towards the motorcycle rider", a spokesman for the force said.

Police are appealing in particular to a member of public who witnessed the incident and stopped to assist the Deliveroo rider.

The 23-year-old rider was not physically injured but was "very shaken" up by the incident, the spokesman added.

Officers are also appealing for any further witnesses who recall seeing the two vehicles on Wetherby Road or witnessing the altercation, to get in touch as soon as possible.
