STREET food and local craft ales are being offered today as Shambles Food Court plays host to the first of a series of summer alfresco events.
People are being invited to welcome in the weekend with locally-sourced North African and Levantine dishes, authentic Fresh galettes, as well as smoke-cured burritos and organic ostrich burgers.
The #FridayFeeling event, within Shambles Market, starts today from 5pm, and also includes wines and ciders. They are planned through summer.
Chris Price, city centre and markets manager, said: “The alfresco Food Court is fast becoming a hub for visitors and residents to sit and relax, enjoy good food and meet up.
“The support for our street food businesses has been superb and we hope to see a good turn-out for our first #FridayFeeling evening event and look forward to making the most of the summer evenings.”
