A MAN honoured by the Queen for his work for the city has been given a court order restricting his behaviour.

Former street sweeper Paul Willey MBE, 49, of Burnholme Drive, Heworth, was acquitted at York Crown Court of harassment when the prosecution offered no evidence against him.

York Press:

Because he accepted that he had behaved in an inappropriate, though not criminal, way, he was made subject to a restraining order banning him from contacting the alleged victim for three years.

He was given the MBE in 2007 for 17 years’ service during which he rose to be supervisor in the city’s Streetscene team.
