THOUSANDS of spectators are expected to flock to Scarborough on Saturday, June 24, to see the very best of the RAF in the skies above the town as part of this year’s Armed Forces Day.
Topping the action-packed programme will be the RAF Aerobatic Team, the spectacular Red Arrows, one of the world’s premier aerobatic display teams. The pilots will take the distinctive Hawk jets to the skies for 15 minutes to demonstrate their formations and aeronautical skills.The Spitfire will also be seen flying past Filey at around 12.55pm and Whitby at around 1.10pm as it makes its way up the coast.
