GARY Mullen's long-running tribute show, One Night Of Queen, returns to the Grand Opera House, York, on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

In 2000, Mullen won ITV’s Stars In Their Eyes Live Grand Final with the largest number of votes ever received in the show's history. The total of 864,838 votes was more than twice that of the runner-up.

Mullen duly began touring on his own and in 2002 formed his band The Works to pay tribute to rock legends Queen, since when they have performed throughout Britain, the United States, Europe, South Africa and New Zealand, as well as twice rocking the prestigious BBC Proms in the Park, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 40,000.

One Night Of Queen takes the form of a "spectacular live concert, recreating the look, sound, pomp and showmanship of arguably the greatest rock band of all time".

"This show will rock you," promises Mullen. Tickets are on sale at atgtickets.com/york or on 0844 871 3024.
