A COUPLE whose expensive camera equipment went missing while on a visit near Howsham Mill have said they are “desperate” for it back and are willing to offer a reward for its safe return.

Melanie Hewitt and her partner, who are based in Hull, were in Ryedale for a day out on Friday, May 26.

The equipment was in a full black Kata rucksack, and included a 5D MkIII Canon camera body with a high-end zoom lens and “all the other bits and pieces”.The equipment is worth between £5,000 and £6,000. “We are desperate for it back and are willing to offer a reward,” she said.
