MY wife and I recently had to pick up two visitors arriving at Leeds-Bradford Airport from Heathrow.
We went to the domestic arrivals door to meet and greet but were dismayed to find that their flight was not showing up on the arrivals screen.
I had to enquire further to find that flights from Heathrow come into international arrivals.
I wasn’t aware that Heathrow was overseas.
I had arrived early and luggage handling was slow so I was faced with rather high parking charges.
Dropping the visitors back to the airport a few days later, they hurriedly departed my car with their luggage in less than two minutes.
Imagine my surprise to find that this drop-off point was inside a car parking area and I had to pay a full £3 to exit.
Yes, three quid for a two-minute drop off. That equates to £90 an hour.
I was not surprised to find that there is actually an online petition to get LBA to rethink their drop-off policy.
I shall certainly think twice about using this airport in future.
