POLICE officers were sent to a potential disturbance in North Yorkshire, only to find a man had accidentally called 999 while play fighting in an inflatable sumo wrestling suit.
North Yorkshire Police said two officers were sent to an address in the Thirsk area at about 4pm today after the 999 call was abandoned and nobody answered when police phoned back.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "On arrival they discovered a male had accidentally activated his phone whilst at a party, play fighting dressed up in an inflatable sumo wrestling suit."
