A BRIDGE in the Yorkshire Dales is to close three times over the summer while maintenance work is carried out.
Work starts next month on the historic Downholme Bridge on the road to Marske, near Richmond. It is a grade II listed stone structure that was damaged over the winter and needs repairs. The work is expected to take 14 weeks, and bridge closures for traffic are planned 12 June to 2 July; 17 July to 6 August and 28 August to 10 September.
