Woman cut free from car after crash
AN ELDERLY woman was cut free from the wreckage of a car by firefighters after a crash in York this afternoon.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the two-vehicle accident happened on a roundabout in Heworth Green at just before 5pm.
North Yorkshire Police said one car collided with the side of the other car.
A spokeswoman said the elderly woman was checked over by paramedics but was uninjured.
