A MAN arrested in connection with a sexual assault in York has been released from bail.
The 18-year-old was arrested on February 13 after a girl in her late teens was allegedly sexually assaulted in Finkle Street, which runs between St Sampson’s Square and Back Swinegate.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the investigation was ongoing, but under a change to the police bail laws the man had been released from bail.
The spokeswoman said he remains under investigation, and urged anyone with information to contact the force on 101 quoting reference NYP-12022017-0082.
