IMAGES have been released of two men wanted in connection with a serious attack in York.

Two men were beaten unconscious in the early hours of Monday, May 1, leaving one in hospital with a fractured skull and scarring to his face.

North Yorkshire Police have just released these images of two men they believe were involved in the attack, which took place in Castlegate at about 4.15am on the Bank Holiday Monday.

A spokeswoman said: "One of the men that police would like to speak to is described as white, with dark short hair, of muscular build and was wearing a dark T-shirt, blue jeans and black Adidas trainers.

"The second man is described as white, smaller in height, average build, with dark short hair. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans with lighter colour patches above knees."

Anyone who can identify the men in the images, or who was in the area at the time is urged to contact police immediately on 101, select option two and ask to speak to Amanda Bostwick.
