THE Cawood Craft Festival committee has donated cash amounting to £21,000 to various village organisations including sports clubs, WI and All Saint’s Church in the village.
Charities including St Leonard’s Hospice, Marie Curie, Friends of Selby War Memorial Hospital and disability dog charities have also received donations.
The money is from the winding up of the craft festival following the final event in August last year.
In the 30 years the festival has been held, more than £250,000 has been raised for the village church and other charities.
