ORGANISERS are preparing for two major music events in East Yorkshire – the Beverley Folk Festival at Beverley Racecourse between June 16 and 18 and the tenth Burton Agnes Jazz and Blues Festival at Burton Agnes Hall during the weekend of June 30 to July 2.
“Highlights at Beverley Folk Festival this year include Friday’s main stage headliner the incredible ex Bellowhead front man Jon Boden, Saturdays main stage headliners are the brilliant award winning Lau, Sunday headliner Eddi Reader and supporting Eddi will be the living legend Martin Carthy with his daughter, the celebrated musician, Eliza Carthy,” said a spokesman.
“Burton Agnes this year includes some of Yorkshire’s finest musicians who perform as New York Brass Band, the incredibly talented Pat McCarthy Quartet featuring Shannon Riley, festival favourites The Alligators, the fresh and exciting Jamie Brownfield Quartet.”
