COMMENT: Julie's cup of good cheer
BILLIONS of disposable coffee cups are thrown away in the UK each year because they cannot be recycled. Now a York woman has come up with a solution to this conspicuous waste. Julie McGall sells 100 per cent recyclable ‘Happy Green Cups’.
Take them into Starbucks or Costa and you get 25p off per drink. Even better, for every recyclable cup she sells, Julie’s company will buy a hot drink for a homeless person at the Spurriergate Centre. What a wonderful idea for a business. Let’s hope everyone wakes up, smells the coffee, and goes Happy Green.
