A HISTORIC building in Selby has been granted a license to host weddings.
Selby Town Hall can now also hold baby naming and renewal of vows ceremonies , and town mayor Steve Shaw-Wright said the granting of a license would be “a fantastic opportunity” for the council, but also a chance for residents of the town “to celebrate momentous events in an iconic building”.
He said: “We have had a couple of inquiries already so I am confident this new venture for the council will be a finical and social success.”
