GOALKEEPERS Scott Loach and Kyle Letheren’s efforts look set to be recognised at the end of a fraught season.

Loach is two points clear at the top in The Press’ final Player of the Month award ahead of this afternoon’s vital home match with Forest Green.

The former England under-21 international collected two points as our second-highest rated performer from last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Woking.

Jon Parkin (three) and Alex Whittle (one) were also rewarded with points as our man-of-the-match and third-highest rated performer respectively.

The point for Whittle means he must now be The Press’ star man against Forest Green and in the FA Trophy final against Macclesfield at Wembley to havbe a choice of joining Letheren, who lost his place in the team to Loach last month due to injury, at the head of the Player of the Year leaderboard.

Sean Newton, meanwhile, received the two Player of the Month bonus points on offer after attracting the most man-of-the-match votes in out Twitter poll after the Woking match.
