AS a Self Advocacy Group for people with learning disabilities based in York we were shocked to read that managers in York are considering sending people with long term health conditions outside York (The Press, April 24).

For many years people with learning disabilities have been sent out of York due to the city not having sufficient services for people having issues.

As you send these people away from friends and family, it is hard for people to go and visit them they become lost and frightened and lonely.

Please don’t do this to the people of York.

Talk with the citizens of York about how the budget should be spent.
