A CARVERY restaurant in York is supporting the Royal British Legion in a national push to raise £100,000 for the charity.

The Toby Carvery at the Hopgrove is among five of the restaurant’s chains in Yorkshire to be joining in with a national charity partnership.

It has added a special charity pudding to the menu, and 25p from every sale will be donated straight to the Legion.

The money raised will be used to support active, and veteran members of the Armed Forces and their families, remembering fallen, and making sure that everyone left behind gets the support they need.

Claire Rowcliffe, Director of Fundraising at The Royal British Legion, said: “We’re incredibly pleased that Toby Carvery has chosen to support The Royal British Legion.

“We look forward to working together in a unique partnership, raising much-needed funds that will help us to continue our work providing vital support to the Armed Forces community.”

The jam and coconut sponge was voted for by Toby Carvery’s fans on Facebook be the charity pudding.
