Police in Coney Street
AN INVESTIGATION into an assault in York has been closed by North Yorkshire Police.
A 23-year-old man was found suffering from a head injury at about 4.30am Sunday, March 26, in Coney Street, just outside the Paper Chase shop.
A 20-year-old Malton man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and possession of cannabis, and released on police bail.
A spokesman for the force said on Monday the man had accepted a caution for cannabis possession, and “will face no further action in connection with the assault”.
