THREE people have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of shop thefts in York.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the Co-Op supermarket in East Parade, Heworth, at 8.40pm on Friday, April 21, where staff reported meat had been stolen.
Three people were arrested. A 34-year-old man from York has been charged with four shop thefts and one bike theft, a 35-year-old woman from York has been charged with two shop thefts and a 35-year-old man has been charged with two shop thefts. They are due before York Magistrates’ Court on May 8.
