THIS stunning aerial footage shows the Flying Scotsman and three of its newer relatives as they headed towards York this morning.
The legendary locomotive was part of a unique railway spectacular, as it ran along the East Coast Mainline with the cutting edge Azuma Class 800 train - which is due to start serving stations on the route next year.
The two trains were joined by two more from Virgin Trains East Coast's current fleet - the HST Class 43 and the InterCity225 Class 91.
They left Tollerton near Easingwold at 5am, arriving in York for a special celebration of rail history and future at 8am.
