FIRE crews were alerted to a blaze in a North Yorkshire field.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the field in York Road, Naburn, just before 9pm on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the fire service said the blaze involved about 20 tyres over an area of about 25 square metres.
A crew from York used foam to put out the fire, which the spokesman said was believed to have been started deliberately.
