A DEVASTATED daughter has urged anyone with information about her missing mother to come forward.

Linda King is believed to have gone into the River Derwent in Stamford Bridge on April 1 and has not been seen since.

Humberside Police divers and kayakers searched near the bridge over the River Derwent for five days after the mum was reported missing, but officers are still investigating while her family wait for news.

Mrs King’s daughter Jade Dickinson, 25, from York, says she would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the 47-year-old when she was believed to be on the bridge.

“People may have driven past the bridge and seen my mum on there and may know something about what happened to her,” she told The Press

“We aren’t going to be angry if someone has information, we just want to know what happened to her.

“We were hoping for an answer by now and it is the not knowing which is so hard for everyone.”

Mrs King was a regular visitor to Stamford Bridge where she was a carer for her mother.

Mum-of-two Miss Dickinson says her disappearance and the uncertainty around what has happened has distressed the family.

Miss Dickinson said: “Not knowing what has happened is the worst.

“We want closure and the police are still out there, but there’s been nothing.

“As a family we don’t know if we are supposed to grieve because part of me thinks she will still walk through the door.

“I don’t really go out much just in case she comes back. It’s really hard.

“My family keep going back to Stamford Bridge to look for her and to take care of my Nana.”

Miss Dickinson added: “My Nana doesn’t know what to do without my mum because she was always looking after her.

“I’ve got two little ones and don’t drive so it is really hard for me to get down there.”

Humberside Police said they received a call on the afternoon of Sunday, April 2 reporting the 47-year-old from Hull was missing.

Their investigations led them to believe that Linda had gone into the water.

A spokesman for Humberside Police said: “We continue to investigate the report of a woman entering the water at Stamford Bridge.

“Searches of the water and the local area have not been successful in locating her.”
