YOUNGSTERS in the children’s ward at York Hospital received an egg-cellent surprise when staff from a local construction company gave them Easter eggs.
Based at Escrick Business Park, F Parkinson is currently working with the York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust across all their sites, as part of a framework agreement.
The surprise eggs were delivered by the F Parkinson team to the children who were unfortunate enough to be in hospital at Easter time.
Steve Kenneally, framework manager from F Parkinson, who is responsible for managing works at the hospital, said: “We saw this as a perfect opportunity to give something back to the community, that we live and work in. It was very rewarding to be able to bring a smile to the children’s faces.”
Dr Andrew Bennett, head of capital projects for York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, added: “I am very pleased to be working with F Parkinson and feel that the donation of eggs will bring smiles to all the children here at York Hospital.”
