A BUSINESS improvement firm has relocated to North Yorkshire from a metropolitan base.

Applied Acumen has moved to the Hagg’s Farm Business Park near Harrogate from a site Leeds, but also has offices in Cirencester and Eindhoven, where it supports work carried out in the Netherlands, and also works around Europe and the US.

Managing Director Keith Armstrong said the move to Harrogate gave the firm opportunity to expand further in future.

He said: “Companies are facing more and more challenges in the business world, including rising costs, weaker sterling, the New Living Wage, and the other associated challenges that come as part of Brexit.

“Material availability and migrant labour will also provide increasing challenges as the UK commences its exit from Europe.

“The opportunities Applied Acumen can provide a business in terms of improving productivity, efficiencies and cost saving are only going to continue to increase.”

The firm works in the food sector, as well as manufacturing and distribution, and defers or shares initial costs, with payments only made by customers when agreed benefits are met.

Keith said: “If we don’t deliver, you don’t pay.

“This approach has resulted in us consistently delivering across different sectors and different areas of business over the last 15 years, in over 120 successful programmes ranging from smaller companies to multinationals.

“We look forward to continuing this success from our new base in Harrogate.”
