A CHILLY Easter is on the way in York and North Yorkshire - but some days have a better chance of seeing some sunshine than others.
Forecasters have long ruled out any repeat of last weekend's gloriously warm weather, when York's maximum of 21C was higher than Barcelona, Nice and Athens.
Temperatures over the next four days are unlikely to rise any higher than 13C at best, and it will often be only 11C and cloudy, with winds coming predominantly from the north-west.
Good Friday looks set to be the worst day, as it will be mainly cloudy with some outbreaks of rain, although there will also be some brighter spells at times, particularly to the east.
Saturday will start windy, with sunshine and just an isolated risk of a shower, while Sunday may start sunny before cloud moves in, with rain possible later.
Monday may be the sunniest day of the holiday period, but with temperatures again unlikely to rise above 11C with winds from the north.
