A CELEBRITY chef is visiting York for a signing of his latest book.
Antonio Carluccio is visiting St. Helen’s Square to celebrate the opening of Carluccio’s northern flagship restaurant on Saturday, April 22, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
He will be signing copies of his new book, Vegetables.
A spokesman said about the event: “Get your copy of Vegetables personally signed by the great man himself and grab a quick selfie whilst listening to Antonio share anecdotes from his 60 years of culinary adventures.
“Antonio will happily talk to visitors about his new recipes dedicated to glorious greens, roots and shoots, including favourites Lasagne di bietole (beetroot lasagne) and Torta rustica di patate (rustic potato cake).”
The new restaurant opened last month in what was once was the city’s Terry’s Chocolate Shop.
The Grade II-listed building includes restored original features such as the confectionary cabinets.
