AN ICONIC York home will re-open to the public today after major conservation work.
Goddards House and Gardens, the home of the Terry family, is celebrating 250 years since the famous chocolate business was founded.
Work has allowed the conservation team to move parts of the collection around the house and open up rooms with more space.
New displays include some of the original chocolate boxes from 1767, as well as interesting perspectives from the workers depicting life in the factory during this time.
Outside, there is a new orchard in the paddock with freshly planted trees overlooking the racecourse with a view of the Terry factory and its clock tower.
This year will also see two key dates celebrated, including 90 years since the house was built in August, and in July, it will be five years since the National Trust opened the house and gardens to the public.
