A man wielding a baseball bat has been tasered by police.
Officers fired a taser at the man in West Thorpe, Dringhouses, on Saturday night, using 1,200 volts to bring him under control before he was arrested.
North Yorkshire Police's York South team said the incident was linked to vehicle being damaged and when the man was approached he refused to put down a baseball bat.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of drug possession, possessing an offensive weapon, criminal damage and affray.
