Lendal Bridge in York
A MAN "in distress" on Lendal Bridge in York this afternoon has been taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called to the incident just before 3pm.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called with a report of a man in distress on Lendal Bridge in York.
"Officers and paramedics attended, and he was taken to hospital to receive the care he needs."
