AN historic York street has been voted the prettiest street in the UK.
The city’s world-famous Shambles - which is often used as a location for filming for both TV and film dramas - topped a poll of more than 1,000 people carried out by National Express.
The street was placed ahead of The Royal Mile in Edinburgh and The Circus in Bath in second and third places.
