A COFFEE morning will be held in a village near York, with stalls selling a variety of goods, from Fairtrade items and homebaking to handmade cards and jewellery.
The Holtby Trader, which has been going for up to 20 years, will take place at the village hall in Holtby, from 10am to midday, on Saturday.
It will also feature stalls for woodturning, preloved books, jams and chutneys and furnishing fabrics. Many of the items are made by local people. Profits will go to village projects, such as tree planting and refurbishing street furniture. Organiser Margaret Sunderland said: “We want people to get together and get to know other people from the village and the surrounding areas.” The Holtby Trader is held on the first Saturday of every month, except January. Entry is free.
