FURTHER to Pamela Brown’s letter (February 19), how clear and open the streets in York are without the street clutter now that the A-boards have been removed.
But on the negative side, as the late great Joe Louis (the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time) said, “you can run but you can’t hide”.
Without the chicane effect offered by the boards, the cyclists and motorists get a straight unobstructed run down the pedestrian zone.
