ONE man is in hospital and another has been arrested following an attack in York city centre.
North Yorkshire Police said a 23-year-old man was assaulted in Coney Street at about 4.30am today. His injuries could not be confirmed, but were not thought to be life threatening.
Part of Coney Street was cordoned off by police for more than an hour this morning.
The street has since been reopened, but officers remain on scene guard, with further investigations expected today.
A spokesman said one man was arrested at the scene.
