ENGLAND have confirmed the availability of their players for the early stages of the county season, with Joe Root set to feature four times for Yorkshire across two formats prior to the first summer international.

Test captain Root and Jonny Bairstow will both be available for Yorkshire's third Specsavers County Championship match against Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl, starting on April 21.

They will then play in the first three rounds of the Royal London one-day Cup, including a Bank Holiday televised clash with Lancashire at Headingley on May 1.

Adil Rashid has been made available to the White Rose from the second Championship match against Warwickshire at Edgbaston between April 14-17.

Like Bairstow and Root, he will also play in the first three Royal London matches prior to England's first one-day international against Ireland on May 5.

Liam Plunkett and David Willey, who is currently recovering from a shoulder injury, have been made available for all cricket, although Willey is likely to miss the start of the season anyway.
